My name is Stuart Parkins and I offer Private Karate and Self Defence Tuition including Personal Safety Awareness for Individuals,Families,Schools,Clubs and Organisations or Businesses.I am a 1st Dan Black Belt in Karate and run a Karate Club in Hadleigh near Ipswich,Suffolk.I hold a certificate in delivering learning(C&G 7302).
Private Karate Instruction
My private karate training is ideal for those who cannot make a club evening or prefer privacy.The lessons follow the syllabus laid down by my association and are tailored to the individuals request;for those looking for self defence i incorporate the saftey awareness,for those just looking to train for fitness and the sport then a more exercise intensive class is possible.Karate is excellent for Fitness,flexibility,Self confidence and Self Defence: health permitting age should not be a barrier!

Self Defence training includes Personal Safety Awareness which can help individuals anticipate potential conflict as well as take measures to avoid it.Avoidance is central to any Self Defence Strategy and is a building block to my training packages.Sometimes a confrontation is inevitable where an individual has to resort to physical measures either breaking away or controlling the assailant so any Self Defence strategy must include simple effective Self defence moves.
A,B,C approach to Self Defence
- Avoidance:Awareness of environment,Verbal Strategies to Diffuse a situation,Body Language
- Blocking or Breaking Away:Distraction,Deflecting and Physical Breaking Away
- Controlling or Counter Attack:Last resort but a neccessary skill to give a person the choice.
My Self Defence Training courses or tuition are based around the levels of Avoidance,Breaking Away and Counter measures.I use a structured approach that is tailored to the individual or group.
