I can tailor a program of study to reflect yours or your groups Learning needs and time frame in Self Defence and Safety Awareness.Instruction can be delivered in a series of short lessons spread over a period of weeks or as half and one day workshops.

What is taught in a lesson or workshop?

Subject areas covered include:

• Self defence and the law
• Body Language and Victim Mentality
• Verbal Strategies of Self defence
• Types of assault
• Physical Self defence: Students will work in pairs to learn effective simple to remember techniques to deal with common assault scenarios such as: Punches, kicks, clothes grabs, hair pulls, and chokes. The student will learn how to adopt a stable stance, avoid attacks and appropriate blocking techniques.

• Personal Safety Awareness Tips

The format of the lessons/courses is role-play and discussion followed by hands on practical application. Where moves are being taught practice is carried out in pairs with progressively more resistance applied to make the moves as true to life as possible.Lessons are planned to adhere to equality and diversity and meet the various learning needs of the students.

Individual Tailored Tuition

Would you like to learn safety awareness and/or self defence? Would a member of your family benefit from learning this life skill?I can either come to your home(subject to space for training) or can arrange a hall either near me or you.I will plan a course of study taking into account ages and physical requirements.

Cost £25.00 per hour per student** with a family package(4 students) price of £150 for 2 1/2 hours

Schools Courses/Workshops

Schools workshops are for 3 hours(1/2 day).Saftey awareness content can be geared around PSHE curriculum if required e.g. Using your mobile phone out and about.Each workshop is aimed at the age group concerned with recommended age ranges 8-11,12-15 and 15+.

School workshops can be arranged to include Teachers and Parents but some content would be omitted that would otherwise be taught to higher age groups.Might be an idea for a school fundraiser!

Costs £250 for the half day covering 10 Students .Will take upto 24 students with a £ 5 per student surcharge.So for 24 students a 3 hour workshop costs £320 or approx £13.34 a student.

Corporate Courses/Workshops

Would you like to improve the safety awareness of your employees and empower them to be able to make a choice when faced with a potentialy dangerous situation? A self defence workshop can provide a good team building event and teach important life skills.Delivered at your premises for 2 to 24 employees.

Cost from £250 for half day workshop.If your interested in a series of lessons delivered over time then this can be arranged.
